Houston woman arrested: Denisha Young faces 3rd DWI charge after police allegedly found her passed out in car with 8-month-old
SUMMARY: A Houston mother, Denisha Young, was found passed out drunk in a running vehicle with her eight-month-old child. Police discovered her slumped behind the wheel in traffic with the car running and in drive. Her child was in an unsecured car seat in the back. Young tried to drive off when revived by police and was found to have an open warrant for robbery. She was arrested and charged with child endangerment and DWI, her third DWI arrest. A hearing officer gave her personal recognizance bonds, but they were later raised and she remains in jail.

SUMMARY: The Austin Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in north Austin that resulted in one person’s death. The incident occurred at Canyon Ridge Apartments on Walnut Park Crossing around 8 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at 8:31 p.m. due to gunshot wounds. APD did not have information on a suspect at the time, but they believe there is no further threat to the public. Young boy dies after police chase with 12- to 13-year-old suspects in stolen car ends in crash, Houston police say
SUMMARY: A police chase in Houston ended in tragedy when a stolen car carrying boys between 12 and 13 years old crashed into multiple vehicles, resulting in the death of one child. The chase began on the city’s westside and continued despite multiple crashes. Four boys fled the scene, but one was found unresponsive in the backseat and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Two other boys were caught and taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the remaining two escaped. Thankfully, no other individuals involved in the crashes were harmed. The incident is still under investigation.
