SUMMARY: Communities in southeast Texas are still cleaning up after a destructive storm with hurricane-like winds hit the area. One resident, Kassimer Doynov, returned home to find his 13-ton Sycamore tree uprooted by a neighbor’s falling tree. A crew had to use a crane to remove the tree, but was delayed by a hornet nest. The protest was peaceful until passing the Texas Governor’s Mansion, where two protesters were arrested by DPS troopers. Despite the arrests, protesters remained determined to continue their demonstrations and return to the streets in support of the Palestinian cause. The event organizers tried to host the protest on the Capitol Lawn but were unable to secure a permit.
