Harry Styles’ beauty brand Pleasing opens pop-up on South Congress in Austin
SUMMARY: Harry Styles’ beauty brand Pleasing has opened its first rodeo-themed pop-up shop called Pleasing Saloon at the South Congress Hotel in Austin. The shop features limited-edition apparel, accessories, tote bags, and two new “Big Lip” flavors. This pop-up is in response to demand from the brand’s Texas-based community. Styles has previously performed in Austin during his “Love On Tour” in 2022. The Pleasing Saloon will be open to the public until May 19, with hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

SUMMARY: The Austin Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in north Austin that resulted in one person’s death. The incident occurred at Canyon Ridge Apartments on Walnut Park Crossing around 8 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at 8:31 p.m. due to gunshot wounds. APD did not have information on a suspect at the time, but they believe there is no further threat to the public. Young boy dies after police chase with 12- to 13-year-old suspects in stolen car ends in crash, Houston police say
SUMMARY: A police chase in Houston ended in tragedy when a stolen car carrying boys between 12 and 13 years old crashed into multiple vehicles, resulting in the death of one child. The chase began on the city’s westside and continued despite multiple crashes. Four boys fled the scene, but one was found unresponsive in the backseat and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Two other boys were caught and taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the remaining two escaped. Thankfully, no other individuals involved in the crashes were harmed. The incident is still under investigation.
