Dallas weather: Severe weather potential on Saturday, April 27
SUMMARY: Severe weather hit North Texas yesterday, with possible tornadoes and hail reported. The National Weather Service sent survey teams to assess the damage. Today, a wind advisory is in place with gusts over 40 mph. The forecast includes a conditional threat for severe storms later in the day, especially to the north and northwest. If the cap breaks, significant storms could develop with a risk of tornadoes. High resolution models are uncertain about the cap breaking. A squall line is expected to move through overnight, bringing high winds and possible tornadoes. The weekend should end quietly after the storm passes.
FOX 4’s Kylie Capps takes a look at the chance for severe weather on Saturday.
