Touchable, accessible art show returns to Austin
SUMMARY: The “Touch the Art” experience in Austin is returning with over 40 artists, including students from the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired creating touchable artwork. The interactive exhibit removes barriers for those with visual impairments to experience art. The exhibit will be open for four weeks, with an opening party on April 27 featuring music, activities, and themed drinks. Last year’s show was successful in welcoming visitors with visual impairments to an art gallery for the first time. The goal of the exhibit is to provide a hands-on and inclusive art experience for all.
