Flooding emergency: Clean up efforts are underway for Montgomery County while flood waters head into Channelview

Marble Falls HS students compete for esports title
SUMMARY: Marble Falls High School’s esports team is competing in the Texas Esports League championship in Arlington, playing Fortnite. The team has advanced to the final four and will face DeSoto High School next. Members are excited about the opportunity to compete and the exposure it brings. They have put in a lot of work to get to where they are and are looking forward to the future of esports. Winning Sunday morning would mean competing in the finals match later that day. Players are thrilled to have the opportunity to compete in esports and are ready for the challenge ahead.

Round Rock’s Xavier Drumgoole does it again for Dragons in triple jump, wins 6A crown
SUMMARY: Round Rock senior Xavier Drumgoole won his second consecutive 6A boys triple jump championship at the UIL track and field championships, setting a winning mark of 49 feet, 2.5 inches. In the girls 800 meters, Anderson junior Faith Murphy placed second with a personal-best time, while Emma Wade of Vista Ridge came in second in the 1,600 meters. The team champions were crowned with Humble Atascocita winning the 6A boys title and Duncanville taking the girls title. Other champions include Fort Bend Marshall, Lancaster, Gilmer, Iowa Colony, Yoakum, Hallettsville, Universal City Randolph, Refugio, Panhandle, Gordon, and Roby.
