SUMMARY: Residents in Austin are voting on six dis annexation propositions, with the main idea being to lower property taxes. Some neighborhoods want to remove themselves from Austin City Limits in order to see a decrease in taxes. The decision to dis annex would mean that services such as police and fire response would be handled by Travis County instead. Concerns are raised about emergency services, with some residents worried about the response time. However, others see the possibility of dis annexation as a chance for better control and less crime. The final decision will be made by the residents through voting on Saturday.

Residents of certain outlying area of Austin voted on one of six propositions to decide if their neighborhood should be removed from city limits.
