SUMMARY: NASA is conducting quiet supersonic flight testing off the coast of for three weeks in November. The project aims to develop technology that makes supersonic flights quieter, ultimately changing the laws to allow for supersonic travel. Rather than the loud sonic booms associated with supersonic flight, residents will hear a softer thumping sound. NASA has been researching supersonic flight for decades and is now using an F-18 fighter jet to perform a special maneuver that produces a quieter sonic boom. The flight tests will take place over the water, away from the Galveston area.

Louisville driver rescued from semi-truck hanging over Ohio River

SUMMARY: A semi-truck was rescued after a crash left it hanging off a bridge connecting Louisville, Kentucky to Southern Indiana. Emergency crews set up a rope system to rescue the driver trapped in the truck cab. Divers were on standby in case the truck fell into the Ohio River below. The driver, a military veteran, was brought to safety and taken to the hospital as a precaution. The incident caused the bridge to be closed during rush hour. Despite the harrowing situation, the driver remained calm and in good spirits. This dramatic rescue operation took about 40 minutes to complete.

Louisville, Kentucky emergency crews rappelled off the Roger Clark Memorial Bridge, also known as the 2nd Street Bridge, on Friday to rescue a driver of a semi-truck who was dangling over the Ohio River.

Austin business man caught on camera setting building on fire in downtown | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: An older man was caught on camera entering an old bike shop, pouring gasoline, lighting matches, and watching it burn before leaving in his Mercedes Benz. Investigators found the door lock had been drilled out, leading them to recognize the man from a previous arson case. The suspect, 75-year-old Dorsey Brian Hardiman, was identified and arrested for felony arson and burglary. Hardiman is the owner of Continental Automotive Group and other dealerships in Austin, including a Mercedes Benz dealership and the property next to the burned place. He has been linked to multiple arson incidents and is facing charges for the recent case.

Austin businessman Dorsey Hardeman was caught on camera setting a building on fire in Downtown Austin and investigators believe he may be connected to another arson case.
