Texas Tornadoes: Two EF-2s, one EF-3 touch down, according to NWS preliminary report

SUMMARY: A deadly tornado outbreak caused extensive destruction in northern Texas, affecting Cook, Collin, and Denton counties. The National Weather Service is surveying the damage, with preliminary reports confirming at least three tornadoes—one EF3 in Collin County and two EF2s elsewhere. Seven people have died, including two children, and around 100 others are injured. The hardest-hit areas, such as Valley View, saw dozens of homes demolished or severely damaged. Residents received warnings, preventing a higher death toll. Cleanup efforts are underway, and the Red Cross has established a shelter at the First Baptist Church Community Center in Valley View.

The National Weather Service's preliminary report says that two EF-2 tornadoes and one EF-3 touched down in North Texas. 7 people were killed in the storms and 100 others were injured.

Jocelyn Nungaray murder: 2 men charged face death penalty after alleged strangulation of young girl
