SUMMARY: A mother claims the Houston Housing Authority (HHA), managing Cooney Homes apartments, ignored her complaints about poor living conditions causing issues for her family. Devin Clark reports from Third Ward that the mother, who has three young boys, noticed black and white mold growth and began experiencing respiratory problems and nosebleeds after an HHA crew removed an AC unit without sealing the window properly. Forced to spend money on hotels, she deems the situation unacceptable and calls for a federal investigation. The HHA has now replaced the AC unit, housed the family in a hotel, and promised to reimburse her expenses.
