SUMMARY: Nigel Sanders, a Harris County inmate, sparked an overnight manhunt after escaping custody, only to be rearrested with his mother and sister, who helped him hide. Bryce Newberry reports that Sanders' escape from the court tunnels was described as unusual and alarming. After being free for over 12 hours, surveillance captured his second arrest in Cloverleaf. Sanders had been in jail for five days and escaped by climbing from a secure to an unsecured area of the court tunnels. He stole a hoodie and knife, threatened an employee, and now faces six felonies, including escape and aggravated robbery.

The hunt for an escaped inmate has concluded Friday after authorities were able to capture him at a relative's home. 2 others have been also taken into custody for hindering the search.
Investigators say Nigel Sanders, 35, was found at his mother's house on Force St. in the Cloverleaf area of east Harris County. She and Sanders' sister were both arrested for helping him.
Sanders initially resisted arrest when they tried taking him into custody and authorities say they had to use tasers to subdue him.

SUMMARY: Two and a half weeks after a severe thunderstorm struck Northeast Dallas, residents at The Meadows at Ferguson apartment complex remain in distress. The storm, with winds reaching 80 mph, caused power outages and significant damage. Residents, including single mother Britney Williams, still live in unsafe conditions with insufficient funds to relocate. Despite notices to vacate, many struggle to move due to financial constraints. Key City Capital, the property owner, offered alternatives at higher rents but cannot cover moving costs. The company's CEO empathizes but faces city fines and pressures. A $4 million renovation for The Meadows is planned but ongoing.

Two-and-a-half weeks after a powerful thunderstorm knocked out power, knocked down trees and caused damage to homes and structures in Dallas, some are still wondering what they should do next.
