SWAT teams respond to call near Mueller: APD | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: On Saturday morning, residents in Austin's Mueller neighborhood experienced a chaotic scene when police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on Aldrich Street. A suspect, described as a black man in his 30s and armed with a gun, fled the apartment by jumping out a window and subsequently barricaded himself in a nearby construction site. Due to the suspect's violent felony warrants, police called for backup, including the SWAT team and negotiators. Despite the police response, the suspect managed to evade capture. Authorities urged residents to stay vigilant and avoid the area. No injuries were reported.

SWAT teams responded to a call from northeast Austin on Saturday morning.

‘How can somebody do this:’ Just born baby abandoned in Harris Co.

SUMMARY: A newborn baby girl was abandoned on a bridge in Harris County just hours after birth, left exposed in the hot South Texas sun. The baby still had a fresh placenta attached. Around 9:00 a.m., a couple found her wrapped in a towel and immediately called 911. Paramedics arrived quickly and took her to the hospital where she is now recovering well. The incident was caught on security cameras, and detectives are currently searching for the man responsible, who will face charges of child endangerment and abandonment. The family who found the baby expressed disbelief and gratitude for being there in time to save her life.

Just as the sun was rising in the sky Saturday morning, a baby was born. Before lunch, a man dumped the baby on a walking trail near a bayou in Harris County.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the baby was found wrapped in a towel around 9 a.m. at the end of a cul-de-sac on Casa Martin Drive.

Family of victim hopes 17-year-old murder suspect is arrested ‘before another person has to suffer’

SUMMARY: Relatives of one of two victims of a teenager wanted for separate Dallas murders are speaking out. Dallas Police seek public assistance to locate 17-year-old Pablo Valise, accused of killing a 16-year-old boy on May 2nd and 27-year-old Azo Jones on December 11th, both in Pleasant Grove. Jones's family, devastated, shared he was newly engaged and planning to start a family. His loss also shattered their dreams for the future, including becoming grandparents. Police obtained a court order to publicize Valise's information since he was 16 at the time of both murders. Tips on Valise's whereabouts should be reported to Dallas Police.

17-year-old Pablo Veliz is wanted in connection to two murders in Dallas' Pleasant Grove neighborhood, including 27-year-old Aarzo Jones. Jones' family said they hope Veliz can be found before anyone else is killed.
