Houston restaurant employee accused of putting his genitals in food items, possessing child porn…
SUMMARY: A downtown restaurant in Houston was forced to shut down after a former employee, 27-year-old Afell Holmes, allegedly retaliated by contaminating food with his genitals. The restaurant took immediate action, cleaning the entire space, discarding inventory, and contacting the police. Holmes, facing child pornography charges, was arrested after investigators found thousands of disturbing videos on his phone. The restaurant's manager tipped off authorities after discovering Holmes' behavior. Investigators fear there may be local victims. Holmes, deemed a danger to society, is in jail on a $500,000 bond. Lawsuit filed involving woman bitten by ants during 2021 arrest
SUMMARY: A mother is suing the city of Santa Fe and the police department claiming excessive force during her arrest. The incident happened three years ago when the mother, Taylor Rogers, was dropping off her son at school and allegedly drove away from officers. The police chief at the scene disputes the claims of excessive force, saying the mother was erratic. The lawsuit highlights the lack of empathy in law enforcement. The mother and her attorneys are seeking reprimands and additional training for the officers involved. The Santa Fe Police Department and city manager have not commented on the ongoing litigation.
