Temperatures will drop quickly as the front arrives, with wind chill values in the single digits. The potential wintry mix is now expected to arrive Sunday night into Monday morning, with light snow in northern areas and more sleet and freezing rain in the metroplex and central Texas. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for areas along and north of I-20. Travel may be impacted due to the wintry weather and cold temperatures.

DFW weather is going be a bit crazy over the next few days. An arctic blast will send temps tumbling starting Saturday and we could see snow, freezing rain and sleet, depending on where you live. FOX 4 meterologist Kylie Capps takes a look at the timing and what to expect. #weather #texas

www.youtube.com – KPRC 2 Click2Houston – 2024-05-21 09:22:13

SUMMARY: Residents on the east side of the city are striving to ensure future storm damage is minimized. In Magnolia Park, power crews are restoring electricity, but infrastructure issues persist, particularly with power lines compromised by trees. A local mother highlights poorly maintained trees interwoven with lines that risk damage and potential fires. Although the city directs residents to call 311 to document issues, the utility company CenterPoint is responsible for such maintenance. This concern is heightened as hurricane season approaches. CenterPoint has a vegetation team that addresses these issues upon contact. Mario Diaz, reporting live from East Houston for KPRC2 News.

Daniel Perry still faces misdemeanor charge after pardon by Abbott | FOX 7 Austin

Published

on

www.youtube.com – FOX 7 Austin – 2024-05-20 22:29:04

SUMMARY: Daniel Perry was freed after Governor Greg Abbott granted him a pardon, following the unanimous recommendation of the Texas parole board. Perry was convicted last year for the murder of Garrett Foster, who was legally carrying an AK-47 during a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020. Perry, a ride-share driver, claimed self-defense after driving into a crowd and shooting Foster. Despite his conviction and a 25-year sentence, Perry’s defense argued for a new trial citing jury misconduct, which was denied. Travis County DA Jose Garza criticized the pardon, claiming it undermines justice. Perry still faces a misdemeanor deadly conduct charge.

Daniel Perry was convicted of murder and pardoned by Governor Abbott, but he’s not off the hook entirely.
