Home sales drop in Houston

Published

on

www.youtube.com – KPRC 2 Click2Houston – 2024-07-26 10:25:22

SUMMARY: In Houston, homes are staying on the market longer, with some sellers reducing prices slightly. Realtor Tangela Clark notes that while prices are dropping, many sellers are reluctant to lower them significantly. Rising home and flood insurance costs contribute to the market’s sluggishness, making homes unaffordable for many. Buyers are struggling to find low-interest rates of 2-3% seen in the past. Cash buyers are still active, but most people need assistance. Clark advises potential buyers to consult with knowledgeable lenders and explore grants and programs for affordability. She also suggests looking in outer suburbs like Tomball for affordable new constructions.

Realtor Tongela Clark says home sales in Houston have slowed down. Some sellers have begun to drop home prices while others hope to see a continued rise in prices.
