SUMMARY: A Houston cyclist, Patrick Lesby, is suing the city after hitting a massive pothole in a designated bike lane, causing severe injuries, including knocked-out teeth and a split lip. Lesby, who has been a cyclist for a decade, claims the city knew about the dangerous conditions but did not adequately fix them. Despite notifying the city, a thorough repair was done only a month after the crash. Lesby emphasizes the need for accountability to ensure cyclist safety. Houston Public Works is investigating the incident, and Mayor John Whitmire’s office has not yet commented on the pothole issue.

Ask Amy: Can I get money back for internet services that are not working right now?

Published

on

www.youtube.com – KPRC 2 Click2Houston – 2024-07-12 07:12:15

SUMMARY: Following Hurricane Barrel, many homes and businesses have had power restored, but internet outages persist. AT&T and Xfinity/Comcast customer service is currently difficult to reach, and when contact is made, answers are limited. Comcast reports 975,000 customers lost service post-hurricane, mostly due to power issues, with 355,000 restored and 620,000 still out. Damaged electric lines often imply damaged cable/fiber lines. Customers without service can request credits once restored. AT&T is less specific but working on restoration and has opened mobile connectivity centers for free Wi-Fi. Verizon offers free call, data, and texting for affected areas from July 8-17.

As power is restored to homes and businesses across our area many of you say you still don’t have internet. AT&T and Comcast Xfinity customer service are difficult to reach and when you do get a human on the phone, they don’t have any answers.
