SUMMARY: A man described as Hispanic in his 20s, with distinctive tattoos on both arms, is linked to several burglaries in East Austin. He has been seen entering homes and was once armed with a knife. The break-ins started last Friday around 5 PM on Chadam Avenue. Longtime resident Mary Garza mentioned how the area experienced high crime rates in the 90s but had since quieted down until recent months, where there's been an uptick in criminal activities. Austin Police report two homicides, over 20 robberies, nearly 60 aggravated assaults, and 99 burglaries in the Windsor Park area in the past year.
