4-year-old Burleson boy was with parents when he was swept away by floodwaters
SUMMARY: A four-year-old boy named Lucas Warren was killed in flooding in Johnson County over the weekend. The Johnson County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident, which left the community mourning. The boy was swept away by the fast-moving floodwaters while with his family. Despite efforts to rescue him, his body was discovered several hours later. The chaotic flooding made search and rescue difficult, with debris and strong currents hampering efforts. The family was walking to higher ground when they were overwhelmed by the rushing water, resulting in the tragic loss of the young boy. The department will continue to investigate the incident.
Luca Warren would have turned 5 years old in just two weeks.
