SUMMARY: At 91, a community member remains spirited, dancing despite the challenges brought by Hurricane Barrel. Tamara Bell, McGregor Park Super Neighborhood President, along with volunteers, aided those most affected by delivering chicken and waffles from Taste Kitchen and Bar. Leighton Dixon, owner of Leighton’s House of Lamb and Ramen, fed 300 people for free, providing additional support by allowing them to charge phones and access AC. Complaints arose against CenterPoint for delayed power restoration, crucial for residents dependent on medical equipment. Despite some power being restored, many, like Janice Sergeant, still await restoration, feeling frustrated with the service response.

SUMMARY: In a rare solo conference, President Biden aimed to address concerns about his fitness to lead. Despite occasional stumbles and misspeaking, even critics acknowledged his stronger performance. This was Biden's first formal news conference since November, delayed by nearly an hour. He answered questions for about 50 minutes, touching on his age, fitness to run, and foreign policy, where he seemed more at ease. Biden also downplayed reports of scaling back his schedule for more rest. Despite his efforts, a growing number of Democratic lawmakers are calling for him to step aside, including 16 Congressional members. Biden reiterated his confidence in Vice President Kamala Harris.

President Joe Biden continued his insistence that he would remain in the presidential race during a solo press conference Thursday evening to conclude the NATO summit in Washington, D.C.
