NBA Draft Lottery: Houston Rockets leap into No. 3 selection due to James Harden trade, convey own pick to Oklahoma City Thunder
SUMMARY: The Houston Rockets secured the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft lottery, their only first-round selection this year. With the potential to land French teen phenom Alex Sarr or University of Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard, the Rockets may prioritize shooting and versatility. The team has a history of high draft picks since the James Harden trade, including Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. In a draft without a clear top prospect, the Rockets could trade the pick or select a player like Sheppard for his shooting ability. The NBA Draft will air on June 26-27 on ABC13.
