Texas governor sends bus of migrants to Los Angeles, citing ‘self-declared sanctuary status’

SUMMARY: A group of 42 migrants, including young children, were bused from Texas to Los Angeles and left at Union Station by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. The migrants, primarily from Venezuela, Honduras and Guatemala, were moved to a nearby church where groups like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights provided support. Abbott used this move to protest what he calls “Biden’s open-border policies”, which have caused border towns to be overwhelmed. Woman arrested, 2 others accused looting Hurricane Beryl-ravaged Westchase area apartments
