Smaller cities, including El Paso, McAllen, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville, also saw reductions. However, Laredo experienced a 10% increase in traffic delays, attributed to increased trucking traffic. Nationwide, cities at key trucking intersections and shifts to suburbs have contributed to rising congestion in some areas as people return to offices post-pandemic.
