How many teams have won back-to-back Super Bowls? – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
SUMMARY: Kansas City Chiefs won their second-straight Super Bowl with their victory over the San Francisco 49ers. They are now two-thirds on the way to achieving a three-peat, a feat that the NFL teams have struggled to accomplish. The New England Patriots was the last team to win back-to-back Super Bowls in 2003 and 2004, coming close to achieving a three-peat before losing to the Denver Broncos in 2005. Major U.S. sports leagues NBA, MLB, and NHL, have experienced several three-peats, while the NFL, with leaders like Greenbay Packers in 1929-1931 and 1965-1967, has yet to achieve this feat in the Super Bowl era.
