Crime in Third Ward: HPD Chief Troy Finner joins foot patrol in one of Houston’s historic wards just before shooting on Scott St.

Louisiana parishioners stop teen with gun who walked into church during Mass, Abbeville police say

Motorcyclist in deadly crash identified by APD

SUMMARY: The Austin Police Department identified Tarl Sears, 53, as the motorcyclist who died in a single-motorcycle crash on May 10 in the 13700 block of Immanuel Road. This marks Austin’s 26th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 26 fatalities so far this year. On the same date in 2023, there were 34 fatal crashes resulting in 34 deaths.
