2nd annual ‘For the Love of Parks’ event happening this weekend

SUMMARY: The Travis County Parks Foundation is hosting the “For the Love of Parks” event at Richard Moya Park, featuring live music, food trucks, and activities for kids. Voters approved a bond package providing $276 million for new parks and trails, and 70 miles of extension trails will be added in eastern Travis County along Onion, Gilliland, and Wilbarger creeks. This will provide greater access to the Colorado River and creeks for East Austin residents. The county is currently working on land acquisition and plans to start the trail extensions in about a year. The event takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

These are the highest paid employees in the City of Austin
