When is the Margaritaville Galveston, Texas resort opening?
SUMMARY: A new $250 million Margaritaville resort is to be opened in Galveston with 334 rooms, elevated water park, beach access, and restaurants. The resort will also offer recreational facilities such as a lazy river and pickleball courts. Construction is not expected to be completed until between 2026 and 2028. Residents are concerned that the construction will threaten the nearly extinct ‘ghost wolf' population – coyotes with red wolf DNA. Earlier in the month, some residents gathered at Moody Gardens auditorium to voice their concerns. Galveston staff is excited about the project and aims to work in collaboration to develop the world-class project.
